Yema Superman II
Superman II - ETA 2892-2 - Circa 1990
Sold
Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont, traditional watchmaker. Legend has it that the name of the brand was inspired by a student who participated in a competition that he organized.
Let’s take a step back to 1963 to discover the 1st ever Yema Superman. This watch was first developed for diving professionals (water-resistant up to 300m and “Patent Pending” label). It was also equipped with a “bezel blocker” (a “Cavalier”) which gives it a unique appearance. Considered indestructible, the Superman was chosen by the French Air Force at the time to equip its pilots.
At the beginning of the 1990’s, Yema launched the Yema Superman II with an automatic and waterproof movement at 300m. The Yema logo disappeared but the “Cavalier” made a comeback after disappearing from the Yema Superman model in the 1980’s.
The model presented here is in perfect condition.
