WYLER BIG 24 Monobloc
Calibre WH222 (base ETA) - Circa 1965

WYLER is not a well-known watchmaking name. The brand was established in Basel in 1924 by a certain Paul Wyler with the desire to provide robust watches for everyday use. It has developed over the innovations of its time. No coincidence then that “Incaflex” has been placed on the dial, Paul Wyler having invented it in 1927.
It is made up of a shock absorber system integrated on either side of the balance wheel at the level of the axle, offering increased protection for the balance wheel. A major innovation that would later become a watchmaking standard. This has been proven by the brand, known in the 1950’s for “throwing” its watches off buildings and finding that they still work.
