In 1969, the first man walked on the moon, the project ARPANET (internet’s ancestor) is launched, the Concorde breaks the sound barrier, and thousands of people flock to the Woodstock Festival. The year 1969 also marks another revolution, watchmaking this time. The birth of the El Primero caliber, the first automatic chronograph in history. The caliber is thought as a whole. No additional module, but a movement constructed around a column wheel and a central rotor mounted on ball bearings.
The reference A386 is increasingly hard to find. Only 2500 models were produced between 1969 and 1971. The MK I model that we offer here is in very good condition.
