Tissot Chronograph Lemania 1281
Lemania - Caliber 1281 - 1950/1960
Sold
Founded in 1884 by Alfred Lugrin, Lemania is specialized in supplying watch mechanisms. In 1932, Lemania became a member of the Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère (SSIH), which was then based in Geneva. Among other brands, the group holds Omega and Tissot.
Many Omega and Tissot watches were thus equipped with Lemania movements. 1942 was also the year that the famous 27 CH caliber appeared for the first time. The movement would evolve numerous times, from the caliber 1281, presented in this watch, to the now famous Omega 321 caliber.
The chronograph seen here is equipped with Tissot stamped round pushers. Doted with beautiful patina, the timepiece houses a superb Lemania 1281 caliber.
