Croton Nivada Grenchen “Chronograph” 1st Gen
Caliber Venus 210 - Circa 1961
Sold
The Nivada Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver exists in numerous variations.
It was in 1961 that the first version of the now famous “CASD” appeared. As comfortable on the ground, in the air, and under ocean waters (200 meters), the watches were equipped with different dials and movements. The earliest reference, however, was the “CHRONOGRAPH” version and not “CHRONOMASTER”. Equipped with the Venus 210, these first models appeared in both NIVADA and CROTON collections.
The model shown here is in a superb condition. Note that “SWISS” has been marked on this reference’s dial which means the presence of radium and not tritium.
