An exceptionally fine timepiece in a Tonneau case, with a beautiful silver dial, fine steel indexes, a date display at three o’clock and black wire hands. The extra magic of this watch lies in its Universal Genève steel bracelet signed by the great manufacturer Gay Frères, dating back to 1969.
UNIVERSAL GENÈVE WHITE SHADOW DATE
Automatic winding Universal Genève caliber - Circa 1970

The Shadow collection at Universal Genève presents timepieces of great finesse, designed by the hand of Gerald Genta: the White Shadow in steel, the Gilt Shadow in gold plating, and the Golden Shadow in solid gold. An era obviously dedicated to diving watches, but also to the finest and elegant watches. This is particularly true at Universal Genève thanks to the micro-rotor calibers 1-66 and 2-66, which make these watches the finest automatic watches when they were first presented in Basel in 1966, in a white gold version with leaf hands and Roman numerals. The White Shadow would appear a little later in a steel version.
The presentation of this timepiece is by appointment only at our office in Paris. Please choose your slot below.
