Here is a piece that we seldom see nowadays. The story of the legendary Submariner began in the early 1960’s. Rolex has more than one waterproof trick up its sleeve since the launch of the Oyster case 40 years earlier. While the first Submariners did not feature crown guards, they appeared with the reference 5512 in 1959. That’s 4 years before the Rolex Submariner 5513.
