Air-King 5500 appeared in 1957 and continued until 1989. The model entices by its
minimalism, without date. This is a collection whose name was born from a desire of Hans
Wilsdorf to honor the RAF pilots who fought in the WWII Battle of Britain in 1950. Some of
these pilots had Rolex Oyster on their wrists.
