The Admiral collection is famous at Longines. It appeared just after the Flagship collection at the end of the 1960s. There are a number of very classic pieces and others are more unique such as this Admiral High Frequency specially produced for the 1972 Munich Olympics. This is a limited edition piece by its quality equipped with the high frequency caliber 6952 (28,800 by 36,000).
We appreciate the very icy, brushed silver dial, and the beautiful details of the onyx hour markers and tritium onyx hands, not to mention the 4 small tritium squares at the cardinal points. Extra bonus, the watch comes with its signed steel bracelet.
Here’s a piece in rare condition as shown by the black engravings on its back which are intact, not to mention the beautiful ample lines of this typically 1970 case.
