LANCO
Shaped Calibre - Circa 1940
Sold
Let’s go a little further back in time than usual.
The watch we present here is signed LANCO and dates back to the 1940’’s. A brand born in the 1870’s from its full name Langendorf Watch Company, which would enjoy tremendous growth before shutting down in the early 1970’s (even if traces of existence can be seen with the buyout of the name by the Swatch Group).
It boasts the “tonneau” shape, quite popular at that time, combined with a typical 40’s dial. There is a square small seconds at six o’clock, blued hands navigating on a cream dial with a gorgeous glossy black minute track.
