IWC Ingenieur Vintage
Caliber 853 - Ref.666 - Circa 1950
Sold
Ingenieur is to IWC what MILGAUSS is to Rolex: a watch destined for engineers due to its antimagnetic design. The reference 666 was launched in 1955 at a time of great economic boom and a growing interest in technology.
Its bidirectional winding automatic movement is the work of Albert Pellaton, then Technical Director of IWC. The model we have here is one of the earliest models, especially characterised by the absence of the signature on the crown, and its metallic markers.
