Let’s start with the Enicar brand. You must read RACINE starting with the last letter, from the name of the founder: Ariste Racine. With the invaluable help of his wife, they carried out the audacious project of launching into watchmaking from 1913. Initials A.R. But, faced with the impossibility of registering the “Racine” brand (being already registered), it was anagram that will be retained. Enicar is born. But no manufacturing yet, the first pieces leave the family home. After the Second World War, Enicar will support, mixing the useful and the marketing, exploration and extreme sports, whether it is an expedition to Mount Everest, or car racing.
